‘My Name is Khan’ Break UK Box Office Records
‘My Name is Khan’ is the latest film in India’s most popular actor, Shah Rukh Khan. The film became a Bollywood film of the most successful in the UK box office history.
As reported by Contact Music, Wednesday (17/2/2010), released on February 12 last, ‘My Name is Khan’ drove to rank sixth UK box office. The film was successfully reaping revenues of U.S. $ 1.4 million. ‘My Name is Khan‘ became a Bollywood film with the largest gross revenue in its first week.
Previously, in Mumbai, India, ‘My Name is Khan’ had received a protest from Hindu extremists. On February 12, some demonstrators threw stones down posters and movie theaters that play them.
Hindu extremists are not boycotting the film because the story mentioned SARA. But they were disappointed with the main star, Shah Rukh Khan, who has a cricket club revealed that he does not agree that Pakistan cricket players banned for playing in the Indian league.
